As a direct result of the pandemic, all countries and communities have reported a large increase in mental health issues. According to a scientific report released by the World Health Organization (WHO) in March 2022, the global prevalence of anxiety and depression increased by a massive 25%.
This is putting increased pressure on already overburdened services and in some parts of the UK, waiting lists of 12-18 months for mental health referrals is the norm. We have to be able to support our communities better than this!
The role of a well-trained Health Coach extends to helping clients to manage emotions, challenge negative thinking patterns, improve relationship skills, and reduce stress and anxiety — all of which bolster mental health. There are many components to this support which includes food choices, thinking patterns and how we relate to our challenges. Join our new Masterclass to learn more about how Health Coaches support mental health and wellbeing.
