For over 30 years, Jane Newall served as a senior police officer in the UK and Australia — a career built on resilience, split-second decision-making, and an unwavering commitment to protecting others. But behind the uniform, the daily exposure to high stress and trauma was quietly taking its toll on her health.
Like many in demanding frontline roles, often combining long working days with call out responsibilities at night, Jane often relied on coffee to start the day, and sugar to keep going, unaware of the unseen, cumulative impact of poor nutrition, sleep disruption and high stress.
That all changed in January 2017.
A routine check-up for physiotherapy led to unexpected blood tests and, eventually, a life-limiting diagnosis: Guillain-Barré Syndrome, a rare autoimmune condition. The discovery was not only a shock, but a turning point.
“It was a wake-up call. I realised I’d spent decades looking after others, but not truly looking after myself.”

A Spark for Change
Recovery was neither quick nor easy, but it ignited something powerful. Alongside her partner Sara, a naturopath and former senior police officer, Jane began exploring the science of health, resilience, and recovery. She saw first-hand how nutrition, sleep, stress management, and lifestyle changes could transform wellbeing.
It was during this period that Jane decided to train as a health and wellness coaching professional with Health Coaches Academy. For her, it was more than a career change — it was a calling. Health and wellness coaching became the bridge between her passion for developing others, her lifelong experience in training and mentoring, and her new commitment to helping people take charge of their wellbeing. Since then, she has helped clients not only prevent chronic health problems but also rediscover energy, clarity, and balance in their lives.
Together, she and Sara combined their skills and experience of working in policing, leadership and coaching expertise, and Sarah’s knowledge in naturopathic nutrition, to support others working in high-stress, trauma-exposed environments.
They built strong collaborative partnerships with other wellness professionals to enable a unique and holistic approach to enhancing the health of individuals and promote a shift from reactive to preventative health strategies in organisations. This is the core philosophy behind health and wellness coaching, empowering people to make sustainable, life-changing improvements.
This vision became Infinite8Life.

These elements work together under the framework of health and wellness coaching, helping clients not just survive, but thrive — improving sleep quality, stress resilience, and long-term wellbeing.

A Commitment Beyond Business
Jane’s mission extends far beyond paid services. Infinite8Life offers free workshops to charities and actively promotes healthy lifestyles within the community. Her work is driven by a belief that everyone deserves the tools to protect their health, especially those who dedicate their lives to serving others.
Looking Ahead
Today, Infinite8Life is expanding its reach within the UK emergency services, partnering with charities, and exploring community-based wellbeing initiatives. The focus will always remain on quality, trust, and personal impact, rather than mass-market scale.
Her journey from policing to health coaching is proof that change is possible at any stage and that with the right knowledge, support, and mindset, even those working in the most challenging environments can reclaim their health and resilience.
